6 Things to Do for Pride in London 2017

Celebrate Pride in style in London from 24 June to 9 July 2017

From red to pink, London is once again adorning itself with the brightest rainbow colours to celebrate love, diversity and summertime! For a fortnight only, across the city, many LGBT+-friendly events will take place. We have handpicked the best of the things to do and paired the most perfect Joy Everley jewellery so you will always look glamorous whether leisurely sitting on the grass for a picnic or on a grand tour of the V&A.

The Science of Same-Sex Love at the Wellcome Gallery – 29 June 2017

With talks led by James Turner, Head of the Sex Chromosomes Laboratory at the Francis Crick Institute, this event will broach, through a scientific lense, topics from attraction to reproduction for same-sex subjects.
This beautiful Sterling Silver Compass Star ring with tiny black diamonds will tastefully yet discreetly adorn your hand.

Carnaby Street #lovehappenshere – from 24 June to 9 July 2017

Teaming up with Soho and Seven Dials, Carnaby Street has organised a two-week festival around London's most famous streets. Expect colourful decorations, free goodies and great promotions when you purchase a Pride wristband in the participating stores.
For this event, we recommend our unique and exclusive Pride Charm bracelet. Made from Sterling Silver and Enamel, this charm bracelet recreates the colour of the rainbow with two boys or girls which reunite when the clasp is closed.

Pride at the Palace – 30 June-02 July 2017

Who has ever wanted to feel like a King or a Queen for a day? Hampton Court Palace will celebrate the decriminalisation of homosexual acts in England and Wales’ 50th anniversary by opening its doors for out-of-hours tours. The most exquisitely outrageous Queer stories will be  unveiled, embroidered in power, politics and intrigue of sexuality.
Our tiny pearls earrings will make you feel like a real princess whilst strolling the grand corridors of the Hampton Court Palace.

LGBT Tours of the V&A – 01 July 2017

The V&A, one of London’s most famous museums – and the world’s biggest for design and decorative arts – is a must-see. For Pride, you will be taken on a free one-hour tour which will unveil the vast collection of LGBTQ-related artefacts on gender and sexual identities.
Wander through the majestic corridors with this absolutely breathtaking Bespoke Lemon Quartz and Pink Sapphire ring – which, if you want our opinion, belongs in a museum in the first place (but we are biased!)

LGBT+ Pride Picnic – 02 July 2017

A unique occasion to enjoy the British summer for a fabulous picnic in Victoria Park, London. Bring food, bubbles and a blanket and enjoy the music performed by the WTW Big Band and Shkembe Soup.
Our lovely English garden-themed collection holds the most exquisite staples from the dainty sun hat to the cutest tiny fork and trowel necklaces.

Pride Parade – 09 July 2017

To end on a high and colourful note, join Pride in London’s highlight, The Parade. Immerse yourself in a sea of rainbow flags and enjoy a fabulously flamboyant and joyful atmosphere in a journey that will take you through London’s most beautiful streets, from Langham Place to Trafalgar Square.
And if you want to propose to your partner during the parade, we have a beautiful collection of unique (women's, men's and unisex) rings for the occasion!
