This ring has been inspired by one of Britain's historical queens. This six stone engagement ring has been designed with a milgrain edging to depict the decadent style of Eleanor's day. The claw setting around the central 0.52 carat diamond is incorporated to mimic the style of architecture used for the Eleanor's cross Edward had erected in her memory.

This piece is handcrafted using traditional lost wax casting and hallmarked by the London Assay Office. Please read my guide to jewellery care to ensure it lasts for many years!

18ct white gold.

Queen Eleanor, 1241 CE - 1290 CE

Queen Eleanor of Castile was married to Edward I and reigned from 1279 until her death in 1290. A well educated woman, Eleanor was a keen patron of literature and commissioned many romances as well as a wide range of other texts. When she passed away in 1290, Edward was distraught and honoured her memory by having a stone cross erected at every stopping point from Lincoln, the place of her death, to Charing Cross which is still standing today.
